The Workbox group is a chance for people to get together, whilst working on current handicraft projects. Our aim is to allow ourselves two hours a month to just do our sewing or knitting uninterrupted, to enjoy ourselves with like minded people, to share our skills and perhaps do something useful for others.

Some materials can be provided and it is a ideal opportunity to swap tips, helpful hints and ideas on things to do.

In the last year as well as our own projects we have made some patchwork quilts and knitted little jumpers for Kisiizi hospital, Uganda.  Our latest venture is to link with the Children’s Centre next to Hurdsfield School and we are making simple rag dolls, cot blankets, dolls clothes and other simple play equipment.

The group meets twice a month on a Tuesday from 1.15pm – 3pm, with a tea break at 2pm!  Meetings are held in the community room at Hurdsfield School, Hulley Road.

We look forward to welcoming new faces. If you would like any more information please contact the Church Office who can put you in touch with the relevant people.
