
Colin & Bron Cleaver – In Novosibirsk, Russia with OM – www.uk.om.org. The Discipleship Centre has now started it’s new academic year with 8 students (3 female & 5 male). Their recent evangelism trip went very well – one of them even ended up leading the service and preaching! Johnny & Ann McClean – In Thailand with OMF – www.omf.org.uk They are now seconded by OMF to Thai Christian Students (TCS) and are leading the TCS central Thailand team. They are also working to develop a graduate ministry training scheme “Trained to serve”

Now supporting two children’s homes in India –Bethel in Chennai which has about 54 children and Joy in Poraiyar, which was set up in response to the Tsunami, which has about 80 children. There are also other projects – supporting the fishermen in the Tsunami hit area and there is also a tailoring school at Joy. There is also a widow sponsorship scheme. Pastor Martin and Annie are planning a visit to the UK in July.
Joy Children’s home now has a bus and the customised home in Poraiyar is close to completion. This will be a home for 100 children! For more information see the latest newsletter in the Church coffee lounge or check out the website.
The Message – www.message.org.uk. The work of The Message began with a vision to see young people in Greater Manchester come to know Jesus, The Message has expanded greatly since its beginning with The World Wide Message Tribe dance band. There are now 9 EDEN projects, 2 EDEN buses a team/dance music group that go into the schools, a team that go into the prisons and also there is now GENETIK – the Tribe Academy who train and equip young people to combine compassion and creativity to reach out to the next generation. Holy Trinity are one of many partner churches to The Message.
Hope in North East Cheshire – Redeeming Our Community in Macclesfield. This is an initiative supported by nearly 30 with north east Cheshire. More information can be found on their website hinec.org.uk
Tear Fund – www.tearfund.org
Tearfund works through local churches and Christian agencies (their “partners”) to open up brighter futures for the world’s poorest communities. They rely on individuals and churches for 83% of their income. They work with partners in more than 70 countries. They are also ready to respond to disasters with emergency relief and to speak out to governments to try to tackle the underlying causes of poverty.
